Okay, so it’s been nearly a year since I last blogged. Go ahead, unleash the shame cannon. I need to post regularly if anyone’s going to give a hoot (yes, I said hoot) about my life slogging through the writing world, but sometimes, I’d just rather be doing other things. Is that terrible to admit? It probably is. I think I just broke 20,000 blogging rules in that one sentence.
So, I guess I should give a brief run down of what I’ve been up to the past 10 months or so. First off, I got married on January 23 to my wonderful Matt. We’d been dating since 2002 (and we were 18, oh-where-does-the-time-go), so we were due I guess. Woo hoo! Planning it was a nightmare, and we had such a small wedding, but it worked out pretty well. I’m just glad we said our vows and all of that stress is behind us. Yay!
In other news, I had a few more pieces published. One, a poem called A Note on Spiderlings over at Everyday Weirdness. The other was “Holding On,” a short-short piece for Six Sentences. It actually appeared in their digital download issue, “The 6S Review: Issue 2.”
Business is picking back up and I’m hoping to get back to writing about monsters and morbid things soon. Maybe a bit of brain organization is in order?
Glad you’re back! And congrats on the publications. Hope you’re here to stay in the blogging world.
Thanks so much! I hope so, too. =)
